Lovejoy: Lovejoy buys an old Welsh dresser at Charlie Gimbert's auction and is told it belonged to an old man who recently died. Hidden inside, Lovejoy finds a rich Arab head-dress, heavy with gold coins. Soon afterwards, Catesby, an ugly-looking customer just out of jail, turns up to see Lovejoy. He claims he is the son of the late owner of the Welsh dresser and his father had promised it to him, so he wants to buy it back. They agree a price and the dresser is sold, but, of course, its treasure is no longer inside it. Catesby comes looking for Lovejoy with an axe. And one of Her Majesty's tax inspectors is after Lovejoy, too.
