Two of the boys he meets are targeted for ransom, but Ryō is able to beat up the kidnappers while still in the bear suit. Later, after Shin, Jun, and Takurō meet up with Megumi and Kanaru and are heading home, they pass the bear-suited Ryō, and then Shin, not knowing that it is his older brother in the bear suit, asks him for a light blue balloon.
