Kurokami The Animation: A Mototsumitama called Houjou Mikami is hired to kill Keita and capture Kuro. As such she kidnaps Keita in order to lure out Kuro. Mikami then explains to Keita that he is not a master root and that by making a contract with Kuro he will wither and age at an accelerated rate. Although Keita is shocked by this and no longer wants to fight he changes his mind when he realises that Kuro will die if he doesn't help her. Meanwhile, Steiner and Excel continue their investigation into the Tribal Ends and discover the device that is being used to drain terra from the Mototsumitamas.
