On the first day, all the hopefuls arrive on the farm and head to the main barn to meet each other, Matt, Giles and Trystan. After a challenging first day, the applicant that impresses the most is appointed temporary farm manager, spending the night in the farmhouse and taking responsibility for the livestock on the farm, including a flock of lambing ewes.
