Packed to the Rafters: What a difference a year makes! It has been a year in TV land according to the Packed to the Rafters show, and therefore two special anniversaries are marked in the lives of the Rafter family. The first one is that of Nathan and Sammy's marriage. They say that first of year of marriage is one like no other, and Nathan and Sammy can attest to that. Not only is their marriage in a bit of "hot water" at present due to Sammy's jaunt over in the States, but her father is also having to battle with the tribulations of dealing with investments gone wrong. Sammy is still at her parents house where last weeks show left her, and Nathan has to "run the gauntlet" with security just to speak with his wife. But he has to try. After all it is their first wedding anniversary. The second anniversary is that of the death of Louise, Ted's wife and Julie's mother. Louise was never one for treating life with a "doom and gloom" attitude, so Ted decides that the family has cried enough tears and it's time to celebrate this first anniversary of Louise's death with a party atmosphere. The trip to the grave is rather different than most. And much to Julie's consternation, her father Ted, invites Marjorie over for dinner on this most important night. She just can't understand her father at all! And when she realises she is feeling "out of sorts" just a bit too much, she decides that a trip to the doctor has been put off for far too long. But what will she learn is wrong with her? And just how will it affect the whole family? Things are about to change in the Rafter household!
