Perry Mason: Mason tries to clear his young, beautiful client after a twisting and wheeling plot of murder, kidnapping, and embezzlement unfolds. There's something very wrong at the Corning Company. First, $200,000 mysteriously turns up in a shoebox and later disappears. Then an employee reports she's been forwarding a large payroll to the company's Mojave Monarch Mine, trouble is the mine is "dry" and all the staff except the foreman were dismissed a year ago. Things really get strange when a woman claiming to be Amelia Corning, the company owner who resides in South America shows up. No one at the company is familiar with the distant owner but no matter, she disappears with two satchels full of the companies records pertaining to the Mojave Monarch Mine and then a 2nd Amelia Corning arrives. When Paul gets involved to try to straighten out the mystery, he ends up charged with breaking and entering. Later the Mojave Monarch Mine’s foreman winds up dead, the 2nd Mrs. Corning disappears and Perry must defend one of the company's employees who is charged with the murder.
