Sesshōmaru and Jaken keep watch over Musubi. The Yashahimes are stopped by The Tree Of Ages and Kirinmaru, who was ordered by Zero and Tōga to stop dragging Rion to battle. Moroha finds Rion, who lives at Musubi. She is asleep most of the time with The Dream Butterfly carrying messages between her and her father who is still remembering the injuries that he suffered from Tōga ... and if Kirinmaru did not drag Rion to battle, Tōga would have slain him. He also remembers the time that what is left of his horn (which has not healed) created the Slave Puppet Riku while Kirinmaru's Arm was thrown to The Bone Eater's Well. Towa is taken to a facsimile of Tokyo while Setsuna encounters Rin for the first time. Moroha also encounters her parents for the first time as she quickly is hurled towards Towa. Both Kirinmaru and The Tree Of Ages are delighted to hear of The Yashahime's Morals and are appointed Guardians for Rion, who gives them a KyÅ«yōkon Root. Osamu Kirin continues to vouch for Towa's absences in exchange for unlimited access to The Shinto Shrine, his place of birth.
