Director Simon Aeby’s epic film chronicles the time-tested loyalty of two friends during Europe’s 16th-century Inquisition. Orphans Martin (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Georg (Peter McDonald) bond as children, but walk very different paths as adults.
