Smokey is a highway patrolman who does his best to cruise and patrol the pacific area of Los Angeles. He and his pal, Ed, are offered a job to do some repossessing vehicles to gain a little extra money. What they don't know is the cars they're repossessing are actually stolen. The cops are out to bust them and get caught stealing almost every car. They want out of the business, but their client tells them that their actual boss is in charge of the work. So Smokey and Ed decide to put a stop to the stealing once and for all.
