Since both Yueng and Fong were in love with Kong, they worked together and saved her. When they heard that Sum's family had been killed, Ko became the most likely suspect. They went to Chiu's house and discovered that Sum's been tortured and he disclosed to Fong and Yueng the secret he kept in heart.
