Bill is eventually accepted back in the force, and the action largely focuses between the police station and the crisis centre, with their often conflicting goals and methods. The eternal question of whether Max and Bill would finally get it on also helped to keep viewers watching! With many awards, almost every Australian actor of note featured as a guest star through the course of the series.
