The Wind in the Willows: While his friends hold another discussion about the railway, Toad is overjoyed when the hot air balloon that he ordered in The Tournament finally arrives. Rat is angry at Toad for not caring more about the railway, but Badger realises that Toad's investment could be a great help to finding how far the enemy has got since the last report. From the Wild Wood, the weasels spy the balloon being prepared, and the Chief sends the henchman to find out what Toad is up to. The henchman gets so tired of hanging about that he climbs into the balloon's basket for a nap...and soon finds himself joining Toad on his aerial survey voyage! At Toad's request, Mole tries to follow the balloon in Toad's motor-car, but fails to keep up with it. Toad manages to take some unusually competent photographs of the railway lines, but he and the weasel are at rather a loss when the balloon starts to come down over a lake...
